Test Preparation
The reading section of the TOEFL measures your ability to read and understand passages in English. You will be tested on your comprehension of major ideas, important information vocabulary and relationships among ideas in the passages.
IELTS is an English proficiency test of students whose native language is not English. IELTS scores are required by the Colleges/Universities of UK, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, USA and other countries. The IELTS Score is a must for Nepalese Students who wish to go to Australia for Further Studies.
The GMAT is a test of verbal and quantitative abilities for aspirants to Graduate Business schools. It is virtually compulsory for admission into an M.B.A. or an M.B.S. course in Northern America and is catching on in other regions as well.
The College Board has administrated the New SAT for the first time in March 2005. For the first time, the New SAT provided an analysis of the college success skills in Critical Reading, Writing and Mathematics. This analysis will give you feedback that will help you better prepare for college by identifying your strengths and weaknesses in these skills.
GRE is for Graduate school aspirants in the arts, sciences and humanities. It is a test of verbal reasoning, analytical writing and quantitative reasoning. It is taken by thousands of Graduate school aspirants who want to take up an M.Sc., M.A., or M.E. course in the United States or elsewhere. With a good score in GRE it becomes easier to obtain admission, teaching assistant ships and merit-based scholarships.
ACT (American College Test):
All four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. accept the ACT, but different institutions place different emphases on standardized tests such as the ACT, compared to other factors of evaluation such as class rank, G.P.A., and extracurricular activities. The ACT is more widely used in the Midwestern and Southern United States, while the SAT is more popular on the East-and West-coasts, although recently the ACT has been gaining more use on the East Coast.
What is CMAT?
Eligible applicants are required to appear in the entrance test central Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by the Faculty of Management. The test will follow the international testing patterns and standards. it includes the areas like Verbal ability, Quantitative ability, logical reasoning and general awareness. There will be altogether one hundred (100) objective questions in the CMAT containing twenty five (25) question in each section with a total weight of 100 marks. students must secure a minimum of 40% in the CMAT in order to qualify for the interview .Applicants securing above cut off point marks in the CMAT will be short-listed. Only short listed candidates will be interviewed and selected for admission.
